Summer update

Just a quick note to let you know that I am still here and working away in the background. After getting the main website split up it has been a job over the months fixing things that got broke etc., Not a way that I like to spend my time.

I have also been working on the Metatags for the web pages, this basically is the information picked up about web sites and individual web pages when sites are visited by robot spiders. Basically this should make it easier over time for people to find the web pages, in this case with a braehead interest.

I think there is some good news coming soon so keep an eye on this blogger window and the forum.

New home pages

Well, even I have surpassed myself in getting the Buckhaven (related and not so related stuff) moved to its new home. This new site will reside at www.buckhaven.info and is accessible by choosing the appropriate button on the left.

You will now find that material related to Buckhaven, the library, museum, the links market, MAD Saints, GW Harvey, East Fife, Radio Scotland etc., etc., will be found at this new home.

Over the weekend I have managed to set up the other new sites, one dedicated to RF Mackenzie and one dedicated to Hamish Brown. The only change to the Braehead web site is that menu choices for the Wemyss Caves, Buckhaven stuff etc., will not now be available.

New material in relation to RF Mackenzie and Hamish Brown will now only appear in the new web pages. Old material will still be available on the Braehead site. There is still a great deal of information to add in regard to these two areas.

This streamlining of the web site will mean it is easier for me to add material and keep an eye on things, it will also mean that all our visitors will be able to navigate and find what they are looking for more easily.

Navigation buttons will be available on all the 'home pages' if you want to jump from one site to the other... and there will be of course cross links at times as well.

If anyone finds any broken links, missing images etc., etc., please get in touch.

New Year - New Changes

Well its the start of a new year, so here is the first of the changes to take place on the braehead news web site.

I have for a time considered splitting the web site up into more manageable portions. Mainly because the braehead web site has continuined to grow and expand. I felt that it was becoming more difficult to navigate with all the different interest areas that are being created.

The first change to be made is that the Wemyss Caves and Macduff Castle pages have now their own web site. The site address is www.wemysscaves.info. The button will be found on the left hand side of this page. There is a link to bring you back to the braehead web site.

Further information on changes will be posted as they happen.

Forum Returns

Forum makes its Return:
Well it has been a wee while but the ‘Forum’ is back up and running. One or two headings to put in yet but the general discussion area is ready for you to chat in now.

Pop-up Menu’s:
On this home page, you will discover that any of the links that you press on that take you away from the braehead news web site will now open up a pop-up window. This ensures that you keep ‘this’ home page window open on your screen, while the page ie., guestbook, forum, diary etc., will open up in another window, meaning that once you are finished with that window, just close it and continue to surf the braehead web site. No need to use your back button or try to find the braehead web site.

Looking forward to chatting with you all again within the ‘forum’. Remember that you will have to register, then log in.
